So, just like the burning of a candle, a human is consumed by their own internal mechanisms.

The part "It's not about the candle" makes it clear: This is not a story about a candle—it's a human's awareness about themselves.

Even in this second sentence, there is actually a value judgment. Because you see humans putting themselves at the center as a "mistake." Meaning, it is not easy to completely escape values. The moment a human begins to think, they start finding some choices more "right" than others.
